WHY DO I NEED A BRANDING STRATEGIST?
Many people, when they start a business do not have an idea about their brand, they do not know exactly what they are doing, so they pick something but never really have an identity. Never know what they stand for. Or if they do their branding is not showing up in the same way. So they pick something and it does not hit the way they want to. So people get confused and if they get confused they do not buy. So we always want to start with branding and look at how we show up. Because we are our brand.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BRAND IDENTITY AND BRAND STRATEGY?
A brand identity is what a graphic designer creates after you have a positioning, understanding of what your emotional territories are, motivations to buy, and a clear picture of what your brand stands for, the social problem it solves, and how your solution is the best. Many designers think they are creating a brand strategy with their design efforts. When they are actually creating a brand identity- one (very important) part of a brand strategy. The assumption is that the client knows their market positioning, audience messaging, marketing targets, etc. Big and small companies struggle with this on a daily basis and this is where I excel.
HOW WILL A WORKSHOP HELP MY COMPANY OR DEPARTMENT?
Workshops are my favorite way of drilling down into finding solutions for a company's challenges and aspirations. Having a concentrated period of time of one to three days to address challenges and find solutions is the most efficient and cost-effective way of getting through a bump in the road or evolve the business plan. In my past life as a qualitative researcher with thousands of hours of facilitation and moderation under my belt, I have found that most of the answers lie in the staff's intuitive knowledge of the company and their work. My job is to get all the richness out and on paper to create a clear roadmap forward.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT WORKING WITH YOU?
Think of us as your guide. Workshops or strategy plans require a guiding hand in implementation. Many times clients understand where they are heading however, get lost in the targeted messaging, what to emphasize and which steps to take next. I always begin work with a client on a project basis and am available for follow-up consultation after the workshop or plan has been completed. While we do not enmesh ourselves into a company like some consultants, you will need to put us on speed dial in the beginning.
